Methodology

Reporting Methodology

We ensure that all reports are prepared according to the specific criteria and meet all pre-determined parameters governing quality. Quality checks are performed at every stage of the reporting process.

Procedures

During our investigations, and depending on the type or report required, we always follow the below steps:
  • Identify the subject

We first identify and confirm the details of the subject company to ensure that the entity we are investigating against, is the one that the client is interested for. In case that more than one entity is available with similar names, we always verify with the client on which is actually the one they are looking for.
  • Source all available information

All available information concerning the subject entity is retrieved from official sources. Even-though in some countries this is a manual process, Official Registries are our initial source of information. The information that is available from official registries is usually the registered details of the company, like Shareholders; Directors; and details about the Share Capital. There might be cases, however, that financial information can also be retrieved.

Supplementary screenings through proprietary databases and global subscription sites are also conducted to obtain any additional information.

Through these databases, we are able to retrieve information regarding:
  • Related entities of the subject company, such as entities in which company’s Shareholders or Directors or the company itself are related with.
  • Detrimental Information. Depending on your country of interest any available detrimental information for the subject and its related entities is sourced. This detrimental information might include, but is not limited to: Bankruptcy Proceeding, Negative Trade References etc.
  • Desk research including checks for published media articles.

In addition to all the above, interviews are also conducted with a relevant principal of the subject entity, to retrieve information regarding: Future Plans, explanation of figures in the Annual Report and/or the Financial Statements, etc.
  • Creating the report

All information obtained is processed and collated into a report.

Through our internally developed system we are able to enter all the information retrieved from the above investigations and produce high-quality reports.

Before reports are finalized, we perform multiple quality checks to ensure that the report meets all the quality and other policies.

Quality checks are performed both automatically and manually by the quality officers.

Assessment

Based on multiple parameters, including both financial as well as non-financial information, we provide a thorough assessment of the subject company.

In the case of a credit report, this assessment allows us also to calculate a maximum credit suggestion, mainly based on quantitative data such as official financial statements or the subject’s issued capital.

Specialized Investigations

Procedures for specialized investigations and due diligence reports vary according to each client's specific requirements.
